EarnMore ("we," "our," or "us") builds a browser extension and companion apps that tell you which of your credit cards earns the most at checkout. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, where it is stored, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it.
It covers the EarnMore browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, and the EarnMore apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac.
This is the core of the product and never leaves your device except to sync between your own devices:
On Chrome, Edge and Firefox this is stored in the browser's extension storage and synced by the browser's own sync service, under that browser vendor's privacy policy. On Apple devices it is stored locally and synced between your devices through your private iCloud account, which we cannot read.
To measure whether recommendations are accurate and to improve our rewards database, we send the following to our servers:
If you never create an account, these identifiers are random values that are not connected to your name, email, or any real-world identity.
An account is entirely optional. Every recommendation feature, and a purchased EarnMore Plus subscription on an Apple device, works without one. You would create an account only to use a subscription across different browsers.
If you do sign in, we collect and store:
Once you sign in, the anonymous identifiers in section 3.2 become associated with your account. Before you sign in, they are not.
If you subscribe to EarnMore Plus we store your account identifier, which payment processor was used, the subscription status, and the current billing period end date.
We never receive or store your payment details. Payments are handled entirely by Apple (for purchases made in the iPhone, iPad or Mac app) or by Stripe (for purchases made on the web). Card numbers go to those processors, not to us.
The iPhone app includes an optional "Best Card Radar" feature that finds nearby stores so it can tell you the best card for that specific merchant. It requests your location only at the moment you tap that button, sends the coordinates to a mapping provider to look up nearby businesses, and does not store them. This feature does not exist in the browser extension, and location is never collected in the background.
We do not use your data for advertising, ad targeting, or profiling, and we do not build or sell audience segments.
Data described in section 3.1 is stored on your own device and synced by your browser vendor or by Apple iCloud, depending on platform.
Data described in sections 3.2 to 3.4 is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database hosted by Supabase, our infrastructure provider. All transmission uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Access to the database is restricted to the EarnMore operator, and per-row security rules prevent any signed-in user from reading another user's records.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for their own marketing.
We share the minimum necessary with the service providers that operate EarnMore. Each processes data only on our instructions:
| Provider | Purpose | Data it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication, server functions | All server-stored data in sections 3.2–3.4 |
| Stripe | Payment processing for web subscriptions | Your email and payment details, which you provide to Stripe directly |
Two other disclosures belong here for completeness. Purchases made in the iPhone, iPad or Mac apps are processed by Apple, and data synced between your Apple devices passes through your own private iCloud account, which we cannot read. Sign-in emails are delivered by our email provider, which receives only your email address and the contents of that message.
We may also disclose data if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or security of our users and our service.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to its processing. Contact us and we will honor any such request.
All data in transit uses encrypted HTTPS. Sign-in sessions are stored in your operating system's secure credential store. Server access is protected by per-row security rules enforced by the database itself, not merely by application code. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit risk by collecting as little as possible in the first place — most notably, by never handling card numbers or bank credentials at all.
EarnMore is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy as the product changes. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Material changes to what we collect or who we share it with will be reflected here before those changes take effect.
